Pros: The room price was great, the room was small but clean, with fridge and clean sheets.the location was near the downtown

 "Only positive is the location"
Pros: Only positive is the location. street has heaps of pubs and cheap supermarkets. close to the train station.
Cons: Hostel was disgusting - we wish we'd listened to the reviews before we'd booked but gave them the benefit of the doubt. the carpets look like they've never been cleaned. we bought our own pillows on the first day - wouldn't put my face on theirs. showers weren't regularly cleaned and only one out of four worked. kitchen - yuk - i don't want to even go there! nothing worked! filth everywhere. nothing to use to cook or eat on - not that i would anyway. the whole hostel had a musty smell. toilets were gross and no toilet paper - had to buy our own. everything is very old and very run down and not very well maintained. street - although full of good shops is very noisy, sirens from the hospital go every 5 minutes!! wouldn't recommend it to anyone. although cheap - it's overpriced for what it is.

"Stayed here for a short break for a birthday celebration"
Pros: Stayed here for a short break for a birthday celebration. the location was excellent for what we wanted. the room was very clean, and spacious. a few decor problems but didn't mind in the least. great value for money & would stay again.
Cons: One of the shower rooms/toilet was out of order but there were plenty of others to use, all clean and in good working order.

"30-45 minutes bus-ride to the center of london or by train to victoria..."
Pros: 30-45 minutes bus-ride to the center of london or by train to victoria station.
shops and restaurants around the hostel.
Cons: Don't expect much of this hostel. it's 'okayish', you can sleep there and are protected from rain, but that's all. loos and bathroom are a bit disgusting and the carpet in the rooms doesn't seem to have ever been well cleaned.
on our last day, nobody was at the 'reception' (that is actually the hostel's pub) and we had to give our key to 'somebody', who would pass it to the person in charge.
don't trust the photos on the website, the rooms are much poorer than what is shown!
