Golders Green is a borough of Barnet near the town center and is well located to make use of all the public transportation. The community is made up mostly of the Jewish, Greek, and Japanese population of the city. It is a busy and well cared for center whose biggest tourist feature is the number of specialty shops along the streets. During the evening, it becomes one of the most popular spots for London nightlife. If shopping and club hopping isn't on your list of things to do while in London, Golders Green has a couple of other attractions for you to see.
Golders Green Park has a deer enclosure and flamingos along with a number of more exotic birds and animals. While not the size of a zoo, the park features enough animals for the kids to keep busy for hours, when they're not swinging on the new playground equipment or exploring the "under 8" facility. The park offers summer concerts on Sundays in the early evenings, and admission is free. One last stop in Golders Green might be to the crematorium. This is the oldest crematorium having been London's first, and has the remains of Peter Sellers and Sigmund Freud along with many other notable figures from London's past. It is located on Hoop Lane in Barnet.
