Victoria Station Details
Having its origin with the Great Exhibition of 1851, the London Victoria is the official name for the National Rail Station. Interestingly, this name is more often used outside London and quite rarely by the Londoners themselves. Located at half a mile southwest of the railway stations, the Victoria Coach Station is the largest and most significant coach station in London. It is the main London coach terminal and connects all parts of the UK along with the mainland Europe. It offers express services to cities and towns in the South of England, Kent, Sussex and Hampshire including Dover, Ashford, Brighton, Chichester, Southampton, Portsmouth and Gatwick Airport. Suburban services include Croydon, Bromley and Epsom.
The Victoria Coach Station has separate arrival and departure terminals, located on the opposite sides of Elizabeth Street. The main departure building includes food outlets, shops, left luggage facilities and ticketing. The coach station accommodates mostly the National Express and Eurolines services.
