Leas Promenade Folkestone
Folkestone is a city renowned for its impressive vistas and unspoiled natural beauty. As such, it’s only fitting that many of its local attraction center around showing off this beauty in various ways. Perhaps the most famous of them is the Leas, a vast promenade that overlooks the ocean near Folkestone’s coastal edge.
The promenade consists of a mile or so of immaculately manicured laws and meadows, filled with beautiful flowers and ponds. Their main attraction, of course, is the panoramic views that they offer of the rest of the city of Folkestone including the sea, the English Channel (one can even see France in the distance!), and the local Sunny Sands beach. The Leas also features attractions within an attraction in the form of the Leas Coastal Park where visitors can stop to take a rest and children can play in a fully featured playground or swim in rock pools.
