Lancashire (Province) Hotels and Accommodation

Lancashire is a county in northwestern England; the capital is Lancaster. Lancaster has historically been the center of Lancashire culture and history. When visiting Lancashire, spend some time in the capital city to admire Lancaster Castle, built in Roman times; today it is partly open to the public, as it is still being used as a prison. The Lancaster Cathedral, built towards the end of the 19th century, is also worth visiting. Some other impressive Lancashire sights of a religious nature include Blackburn Cathedral and the Church of St. Walburge, both built in the 19th century. You should also check out the Irwell Sculpture Trail, the United Kingdom’s largest public art display, and Rufford Old Hall, supposedly haunted.
