 "liverpool trip"
I was excited about this trip and Liverpool was not disappointing, but, unfortunately the hotel was. The entrance and downstairs rooms were impressive but the bedrooms left a lot to be desired. Also we were told that the bar 'Waves' was open all hours. We went back ion Friday night and it closed at 11 o'clock!!!!!

 "Thoughts"
Perfectly fine for a short stay and well positioned in town centre. Room was quite cold with no facility to turn on radiators, as they were of the old cast iron type. Reception said heating operated the whole hotel, so it was either on or off , (as decided by them)! Ludicrous in this present age. Another guest also complained to reception of this.

 "Lovely building"
This is a lovely building and so much nicer than your run of the mill travel lodges.Great price for a city centre hotel.Staff helpful.Breakfast expensive - so ate out.Room was small and the bathroom/shower needs updating, but as we were only staying for 1 night this didn't matter. We would stay here again.

"Beautiful lounge and reception area, run down rooms"
Though the staff were very nice and the location is optimal, the staff were slow in responsiveness and the rooms were awful. The first room I was in was right next to the elevator, which had terribly squeaky and screeching brakes. The room's toilet also wouldn't flush properly and when it did it ran for several hours. The second room i was in, as I had to move out of the first room because of the above listed problems, was better, but faced a popular karaoke bar with people singing all night. When I left the hotel, I asked the receptionist to call me around a cab, and he didn't. When I went outside to get the cab myself with my heavy luggage, the attendant didn't initially offer to help. All this being said, the lounge area is beautiful and ideal for a party/reception, but not an ideal place to stay overnight.

 "music in my ears"
I arrived at the hotel after a day of travelling, and had to wait in a queue of other people trying to check in, I got to my room opened the door and was hit by a stale smoke smell, I myself am an non-smoker and found this hard to deal with however did not asked to change rooms as i was so tired from travelling. I got into bed shortly after entering the room and couldn't sleep due to the wind whistling through the window and what seemed like a disco right beneath us. the music eventually stopped just before 3am, and i had to wake at 6.30! However the staff were very pleasant and friendly and we were allowed to keep are luggage in the hotel until later that day, which was a bonus.

"Very helpful staff, room was small but clean, central location with its own..."
Pros: Very helpful staff, room was small but clean, central location with its own car park, very comfy bed, overall good value.
Cons: In the bathroom the shower wall mounting missing, shelf edge trim coming away. bedroom window didn't open and i had to buy a small fan as the weather was very hot. the fire door outside my room was very noisy whenever anyone went through it but these were minor issues and would not stop me from staying there again.

"The hotel was central, staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast..."
Pros: The hotel was central, staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast plentiful and tasty.
Cons: The only negative thing i can think of was the bathroom which was dated and basic. it was the sort of room where you would want to be in and out as quickly as possible.

 "Excellent location"
Pros: Excellent location
Cons: Our bedroom was very basic for the price we paid and for what i was expecting. throughout our stay our towels were not changed once. also as we were on the first floor we could hear the music from the party downstairs blaring up until 2am. another reason for me not being satisfied with this hotel is that reception refused to order or pre-book a cab for our early morning journey to the airport, stating that there is a phone we can use in the lobby to call ourselves.
