Well then, you have to make a trip to Edinburgh, especially during July or early September when the town celebrates a series of festivals known as the Edinburgh Festival. There’s also the Hogmanay celebration which takes place on the last day of the year. The participants of this festival numbered 300,000 in one weekend. Edinburgh is not only a party place; it is also home to many famous historical structures. The beauty of the city can be seen from various viewpoints, one of which is the Edinburgh Castle from the 12th century. Equally majestic is the Mound, a man-made hill that houses some of the most important structures of Scotland, including the Bank of Scotland and the National Gallery of Scotland.
