 "Pleased with my stay"
A very enjoyable stay. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. I really loved the period furniture and features which in general the decor complemented very well. Surface cleaning in the room was fine but could be more thorough especially where there is a problem with mould below shower seal. Breakfast was very good but for the price I would have expected this to be included with the room. The location was ideal and I would definitely stay again.

Cons: There is no lift (elevator). it is quite a walk from the center of york. internet access is limited to wifi in the lounge/restaurant area

Cons: I was freezing - november, and only one sheet and a single cotton bedcover on the bed and the radiator stayed cold all night.

Pros: A beautiful hotel from the outside and in the lounge/reception. it had character unlike a lot of hotels.
Cons: Room a bit small for the price especially as no breakfast included.
