Southwell Hotels and Accommodation

Southwell in Nottinghamshire is actually a very small city. It is actually a city because it has a cathedral, not due to size of population or Royal Charter. But nonetheless it is a city and what a city it is. It is a wealthy area, with some fantastic sights to see and so whether you want to stay for a short break or a couple of weeks, you will not go home disappointed, although you will probably wish that you could have stayed longer. Even the railway station in Southwell is impressive and very quaint. But you cannot miss the Minster or cathedral. It is quite simply stunning. The Greet River runs through Southwell and a romantic walk along the riverside is a lovely way to spend the day.
