Aberfeldy in Perthshire is a real treat of a place to visit. You can stay overnight, but to see all that this amazing town has to offer and to get a feel for it, you are far better off staying for a week or longer. Aberfeldy is a Fairtrade town, where all traders try to promote goods that are ethically sourced. There is a fascinating art gallery at the Watermill, which as you can imagine is sited in a former mill. If you are feeling like an adventure then why not have a safari, where you can go on safari in a Land Rover and really leave the beaten track and get out into the wilds? You can also go white water rafting, but after all that excitement, you will probably need a rest and for that head just outside of Aberfeldy to the Cluny House Gardens (open from March until October) and have a nice relaxing walk in the gardens. And then you can check out the local distillery.
