Biggar Hotels and Accommodation

Biggar in Lanarkshire dates back to ancient times, when it was probably inhabited as early as pre-historic times. The Church in Biggar, known as Biggar Kirk actually dates back to the 12th Century and although the original has been replaced, the replacement was built in the 16th Century. The Moat Park Heritage Centre is a really interesting place to go to find out more about how this area developed. Biggar even has its own Corn Exchange Theatre. Indeed there are a lot of cultural attractions in Biggar, including the Biggar Gasworks Museum. It is very proud of its culture and its history, but has also embraced modern times as well.
