 "Short break"
Although the hotel and accommodation is fine, the restaurant was very slow and pricey. We wanted to book an extra nights accommodation but was quoted £112, even though we are breakaway members. Good locationnear to all tourist attractions.

"Lovely hotel in heart of Stratford"
Lovely hotel, friendly staff, the room was small but was very clean and all the facilities you could need. Food was lovely and it was in a perfect location especially if you do not have a car - less than 5 minutes walk from the station and it had a brilliant central location.

"Bed like a rock. Something missing"
The Stratford is a nice 4 star hotel but we were less than blown away by our stay that was at the average end of 4 stars. On arrival the room we booked was not only small but the sloping ceiling made it feel even smaller and a bit dizzy. We rang down to explain and were offered an upgrade for £20 per night which we accepted. The new room was much nicer and larger, but the bed had four tiny pillows and was extremely hard/uncomfortable. We didn't get a wink of sleep and the following day I had terrible backache. The hotel provided 4 extra pillows the following morning but it didn't compensate for the mattress. Breakfast was poor for a quality 4 star hotel. The buffet food was of very average quality, coffee not particularly good and the toasting machine broken. I think toasting machines should be reserved for travel lodges - not quality hotels. It amazes me how three simple things - decent coffee, fruit and toast never seem to be any good in 90% of hotels these days. On the evening we ate in the restaurant there was a total mix up by the foreign waitress with our order and when we asked twice for the menu to show her what we had in fact ordered, she went away and didn't return. After complaining to the restaurant manager he took our meals, drinks and desserts off the bill and wanted us to have complimentary coffee the following morning, but this was a two night break and the final nail in ruining our stay. The staff were very nice at the hotel and it is nicely furnished and clean. It is certainly nicer than the shabbier Stratford Manor that we stopped off at by mistake on the way. I only know the QHotel brand from Manchester's famous Midland Hotel and this really falls short of what I was expecting.

"Helpful staff, good clean rooms and good food"
Pros: Helpful staff, good clean rooms and good food.
Cons: Not impressed with the £5.00 charge to use their car park! out of date room service menu in the room but they did stick with the prices quoted!!
