 "overall very good but a couple of issues"
Generally very happy with this hotel but there was a real stale stench in the hallway where my room was situated, which was on ground floor, close to 170, at the furthermost point of the corridor. So much so, that I think it begun to make me ill. Room was pretty good, but due a small refurb. to freshen it up but the biggest gripe was the Costa coffee. Should be renamed Costa Packet coffee. Almost £4.00 for a small Cappuccino. Twice what you would pay on the HIgh Street. I appreciate there is a captive market here and people pay it as they have no choice, but there's being reasonable and there is taking the P. This was definitely the latter, and sadly seems to be the case in most Hilton/Costa concessions.

Pros: I have stayed at the hilton birmingham metropole three times now and have thoroughly enjoyed the services they offer. the staff are very polite and friendly, the rooms always clean and i would recommend stopping there to anyone.

 "Quiet,clean well looked after"
Pros: Quiet,clean well looked after. excellent breakfast, i would go again just to have the breakfast.
Cons: The only juice offered when we walked into breakfast was freshly pressed orange (with bits), (others were available at the buffet, but no smooth orange only apple juices)
