Brighton is normally thought of as the “artistic” city in this area of Britain, but Coventry, with all of its museums dedicated to machinery and the sciences, has its own offering in the form of the annual Godiva Festival. Visitors to the area should delight in taking part in this three-day musical festival which features acts from all over the world, including local artists. Each year, some 75,000 people attend the festival.

Acts performing at the festival are typically split up across various stages, and sometimes by genre, so that different area of the festival cover different parts of the musical landscape, with genres as diverse as hip hop, reggae, rock, punk, and even folk music. Visitors can also take part in local crafts and other similar attractions that hearken back to the culture seen in the area during the 1960s. Think of it as a mini-Woodstock, each and every year in Coventry.
