MacArthur Park is where the locals of Los Angeles go when they hope to relax in some well-preserved natural beauty. However, it’s also a hot attraction for tourists looking to take in some local culture. Divided into two major sections by the famous Wilshire Boulevard, MacArthur Park offers something for everybody. To begin with, the southern end of the park is host to a great deal of natural beauty, including a lake fed into from natural springs, and a reflecting pool.
The northern side of the park, however, is home to more lively affairs, including an amphitheater where many popular bands host concerts, as well as soccer fields, and children’s playgrounds. As a vacation spot, it is second to none, and was one of the most popular locales anywhere in the world during the 1980's thanks to an influx of celebrities in the luxury housing surrounding the park.
