The Page Museum of Los Angeles is located in one of the most famous fossil localities in the world know as the Rancho La Brea Tar Pits. The Page Museum is known for its outstanding and diverse collections of extinct plants and animals from the Ice Age. Anyone visiting this highly educational as well as fun museum, will be able to go back to the past and explore Los Angeles as it would have been either 10, 000 or even 40,000 years in the past during the Ice Age.
This fascinating museum shows visitors how bones are cleaned and repaired and put on display, and as an added bonus when one goes outside the museum you can see life size recreations of many of the extinct animals, whose remains lie inside.
