Pros: On arrival i was unexpectedly upgraded to a junior suite. the room was wonderful, well-equipped (complete with kitchenette), and did not suffer from traffic noise as has been noted in some other rooms in the hotel. the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location just a few blocks from central union square could not be bettered for the price.
Cons: The continental breakfast was a little disappointing, with only a small selection of croissants, muffins and pastries with two bowls of fruit to choose from. some jams/spreads, a toaster, some yoghurts etc. would have been appreciated!

Cons: I would suggest people who are cancer patients of the ucsf med center be exempt from the valet parking charge.

Cons: The wait for my room key took awhile and then the first room they sent me to had not been made up but the room i finally got was an upgrade from what i was expecting.

Pros: An slight up-grade gave us a suite, rather than a room, which included a fully stocked kitchen. the hotel does not have a bar or proper dining-room, but makes up for this with a light complimentary breakfast in the lobby area. it also provides wine & snacks in the late afternoon, something we have never encountersd before. the hotel itself is a beautiful building with period fittings, and is situated in a great central location.
