 "Funky hotel in downtown area"
Very cool hotel. Funky decor. Comfortable rooms. There is also a decent nightclub on the weekends. It's in a decent location, but also borders the Tenderloin which is quite depressing to walk through. You can avoid it by turning right instead of left when you walk out of the building.

Excellent stay in a great hotel

The quality offered by Clift is well worth its 4 stars. If you love having an abundance of options when it comes to taking a room, this is an ideal place for you. Caltrain King Street Terminus is easily reached from this location. A popular attraction, War Memorial Opera House is within walking distance. This is also a great location from which to walk to landmarks such as City Hall, TransAmerica Pyramid, and Transbay Train Terminal. Coit Tower is nearby this San Francisco hotel.

Clift also has a restaurant and a bar/lounge on-site, accessible to all guests. Stay well; there is a spa/wellness center here. Laundry service and a bell boy service are a couple of great services provided here, complemented by the presence of an express check-in/out service. Especially convenient for business guests is the presence of a conference space and a business center in addition to an audio-visual equipment set. You can choose between 372 rooms in this hotel. If you arrive by car you can also utilise indoor parking.

Whilst staying at Clift your room temperature can be adjusted via an air conditioning unit.
