The location was shocking, the street outside was full of down and outs sleeping rough, drug dealing was apparent and intimidating gangs of youths hung around. we had to walk through this every day to get anywhere, it was very unsettling and ruined our holiday. the hotel itself wasn’t too bad, i thought it was going to be more stylish but the rooms were very drab with artex on the walls and ceiling. none of the bedrooms were air conditioned which was unbearable. it was overpriced for the quality but you don’t seem to get much for your money in sf. breakfast consisted of bagels or sliced bread with butter/jam and muffins. there was no dining room just a single bedroom/storage room that had been fitted out with a drinks machine and toaster - you had to eat it back in your room! it was like staying in a yha. i would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
