I have stayed there before. it is very convenient to where one of my children and their family live. 
It is kind of run down. actually, there were bugs in the bed. never had that experience there before. Anonymous

Hard to beat the location. only 2-3 blocks in any direction puts you in the middle of some of the best trendy restaurants and bars in san francisco. courteous staff. free parking and internet make it a decent choice if you are willing to sacrifice aesthetics for location.Very noisy neighborhood. this is a no-frills hotel. outdated furniture, old linens... but still relatively clean.Pritchard
