Pros: Very nice feel, grand entrance and glamorous, slightly oldschoolish design, seems like thirties.. very unique and inspring experience. cafeteria next to lobby, and small restaurant with live music add very pleasant feel to it.
Cons: Neighbourhood is a bit dodgy, lots of homeless people around - but as long as you don't walk around after 9pm, it's fine. (cabs and trams are around most of the times).
