San Francisco City Hall

The San Francisco City Hall in San Francisco is a beautiful representation of Beaux-Arts architecture that has been available to the people of the city for more than eighty years. City Hall was built in 1915, and is a very large building, taking up two city blocks. It took ten years to renovate San Francisco City Hall after an earthquake in 1989, and it reopened in 1999. The dome that sits proudly on top of the structure is the fifth largest dome on any building in the world.
