San Francisco’s Maritime Museum is located at Fisherman’s Wharf and is run by the National Park Service. The museum actually consists of a collection of six historical vessels including an old ferry boat, a paddlewheel tug boat and steam tug boat. You can even take a sail on the schooner Alma, who dates back to 1891. There is also a small craft exhibit and a visitor’s center in the park. Don’t forget a jacket, as the area around the pier and on the boats can get cold and windy.

All boat enthusiasts will enjoy a trip to the Maritime Museum.
