The Caltrain King Street Terminus in San Francisco is located at the 4th Street and King Street station. At one time, the station was much more modest than it is now. A lovely station was at 3rd Street, but was torn down because a freeway ramp was supposed to be built in its place. However, plans changed. The tracks were cut off to stop at King Street, and the Caltrain King Street Terminus was built instead. In 1998, much renovation was done to the terminus, and it was greatly modernized as well.
