Hotels near Maritime National Historical Park in San Francisco - Best deals & budget rates!

The San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park is one of San Francisco’s most interesting historical sites. Located on Hyde Street Pier, in the same neighborhood as the Fisherman’s Wharf, the park is steeped in 19th century history. Many people come here just to admire the collection of historic ships, tugs, ferries, schooners, and more. The collection includes six vessels that are included in the listings of National Historic Vessels, with the oldest of the six a square-rigger called Balclutha, built in 1886.

Let your first stop at the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park be at the Visitor Center. You can get your bearings here, plan your visit, and have a park ranger direct you to Hyde Street Pier. After looking over the ships, it is possible to take a sail on the historic scow schooner Alma, or enjoy a guided walking tour of the waterfront. You can also walk to the end of the pier to enjoy or perhaps take photographs of the view of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco Bay.
