Delaware is located in the eastern part of the United States Delmarva Peninsula between Delaware Bay and Chesapeake Bay. At Georgetown during a visit to the Treasure of the Sea tourist attraction you will discover treasure retrieved from the sunken Spanish galleon Nuestra Senora de Atocha, which was wrecked in 1622.At the Afro-American Historical Society of Delaware in Wilmington there are tours, educational seminars and a gallery that highlight the history of Afro-Americans in Delaware. For those interested in aircraft, a visit to the Air Mobility Command Museum in Dover is a wonderful experience where you can see an impressive collection of restored airplanes. The Black Bird State Forest near Smyrna is a chance to get back to nature and enjoy camping, hiking and hunting. The education center there has interactive displays, which educate about the varied wildlife and flora at the park and conservation.
