It is also the final resting place for Ellison Onizuka who perished in the Challenger tragedy. The cemetery is the sight of an old volcanic crater. There are marble walls along the staircase in the cemetery that lists names of military personnel that are missing in action. The cemetery also features a 30 foot statue of Lady Columbia.
