City Center Baltimore

In the heart of Baltimore near the Chases Wharf, you’ll find the Frederick Douglass Isaac Myers Maritime Park. This park, which chronicles the history of two African American men, Frederick Douglass and Isaac Meyers, gives visitors a look into the Baltimore’s Maritime past. This site showcases ship building traditions and practices on the Chesapeake Bay and highlights the beginning of the Chesapeake Marine Railway and Dry Dock Company. They offer daily tours and interactive learning areas. While you are in the area be sure to head over to the Baltimore Civil War Museum and the National Aquarium where you will see amazing exhibits and experience hands on fun!
