Addison Gallery of Art Andover

The Addison Gallery of art was founded by Thomas Cochran as a way to help develop the love of art. It is a resource to students attending the Phillips Academy and is recognized center of American art. The collections at the museum include art from around the world. There are also various revolving exhibits that change often to provide a different experience with each visit to the museum. Every piece of work in the museum, though, has to be related to the United States in some manner. It has to be either made by a citizen or represent something in the country or the culture.
