The Franklin Park Golf Course is a rare treat in the city – an 18 hole public course only a few minutes from the downtown Boston area. The bent grass course is the 2nd oldest in America and was used by pro golfer Bobby Jones as his home course during his Harvard years.
This course is very busy and booking ahead is very important. You will not be disappointed as this amazing inner city golf course has difficult sand traps and bunkers to maneuver around, wide fairways, and lush greens. The terrain eclipses rolling with fir and oak trees. A large pond comes into play on several holes. Nearby you will find Franklin Park with nature trails and sports areas and the world famous Franklin Park Zoo with its many different exotic species from Australia, Africa, and beyond.
