Albany is New York’s capital and home to some interesting upstate New York attractions. Most of us associate New York nightlife with New York City, but Albany also has a great nightlife located in its famous Lark Street district. Often referred to as Albany’s Greenwich Village, you’ll find restaurants and bars suited to any sort of night time entertainment you desire. The cobblestone streets and quaint cafés lend a feel of history to this funky urban center of town. While in Albany you must also visit the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Eagle Street. This cathedral is the oldest example of neo-Gothic cathedral architecture in the country and is considered one of the best churches to visit in North America.
