Findley Lake is the name of both a lake and a picturesque village in Chautauqua County, in the westernmost corner of the state of New York. It is just a mile from the New York/Pennsylvania state line, and 20 miles from Erie, Pennsylvania. Many visitors come to budget hotels in Findley Lake for the fishing. The lake is not large, but it is well stocked with muskie, bass, walleye, northern pike, blue gill, perch, catfish, crappies, sunnies, and panfish. The water is usually calm, making it excellent for all sorts of boating and water sports. In winter the ice fishing is great. This area is also popular with skiers, hikers, golfers, cyclists, snowmobilers, and hunters.

Take a stroll around the village of Findley Lake and enjoy the specialty shops, boutiques, and restaurants. You can see a working water-wheel, or visit a candle factory. For history buffs, there is the WWII Museum. Findley Lake is less than five miles from the Peek ‘n Peak Resort. Also within easy reach are the Chautauqua Institution, the Lake Erie Wine Trail, the Panama Rocks Scenic Park, and the Lake Erie Speedway.
