"Staying at the algonquin is an experience in nostalgia, the hotel is rich..."

Pros: Staying at the algonquin is an experience in nostalgia, the hotel is rich in history & has a romantic feel. it is not for everyone, if you are not aware of this hotels illustrious past, it might not be appreciated. the lobby is the same as it always was & i pray they do not touch it in the upcoming renovations! the rest of the hotel could use some freshening up, with that said we still had the best time staying in a manhattan landmark with a perfect location.
Cons: The staff is suffering with the upcoming closing of the hotel, you could feel their sense of uncertainty with renovation looming & their being put on the back burner.
