As for the rooms, they're clean and basic--they come with beds. But if you are a business traveler looking for a short and simple stay, then Carter might work for you. Or if you are a traveler that plans to spend most of your time out on the streets and seeing the sights, then you won’t care what your hotel looks like anyway. If you don’t need all the extras and pampered treatment from your hotel, then you will be satisfied with the Carter.

What you can expect in the surroundings of Carter Hotel New York

Located just across the street from the "New York Times" and a half block from Times Square, this hotel is unassuming at first glance. Don't judge it from its benign exterior though. Instead, check out the lobby. Purple neon lights illuminate the entry area, and Indian and Japanese art grace the walls, giving it a Las-Vegas-casino-meets-Asian-brothel feel. It doesn't help that the front desk clerks are sectioned off behind a thick glass window. However, the hotel is close by things you want to see and do in the city. So the bottom line is if you a simple, affordable place to stay and you don’t much care about the hotel itself, then you will find the Carter works for you.
