"Best Hotel in Manhattan...By a Mile!"

1. Location: The location is simply perfect on 40th Street between 8th and 9th Avenue. It is right next to the Port Authority Bus Terminal. It is only 3 blocks from Times Square and 5 blocks from Macy’s, Madison Square Garden and all the shops on 5th Avenue…all within walking distance.Don’t be put off by the fact that there are 2 ‘seedy’ DVD stores and the NY Parole Office nearby as it is really safe. 2. The Hotel: It is not a huge hotel so each floor only contained 4 or 5 rooms so there was very little hallway noise. 3. The Room: The room was actually quite big by NYC standards with plenty of room to store a large suitcase and shopping bags. - Furnishings: The furnishings were modern, in great condition and the king sized bed was amazing. - TV: There is also a large flat screen TV with a large choice of channels to choose from! - Bathroom: The bathroom has a huge shower and the water pressure + temp were great. Great selection of Lather toiletries and the bathroom counter was spacious. - Tea & Coffee: In-room coffee and tea maker based on a pod or capsule system.- Cleanliness: The room was kept immaculately clean by the very friendly house-keeping staff.- Safe: There was an in room safe which is great if you have cash or valuables with you. 4. Lobby: The lobby isn’t huge but there is a seating area big enough for 6/8 people as wellas the bar and restaurant at the back. 5. Internet Access: There is free Wifi access in the hotel as well as 3 Mac computers in the lobby with free printing.6. Staff: The service of the staff was great. The front desk workers were all incredibly friendly as were the bell men. The bartender in the lounge is the best & gave me lots of tips (restaurants, places to go to, etc). 7. The little details: I really appreciated the turn-down service with a weather card for the next day and some delish dark chocolate every night. The NY Times in the morning was great too.Conclusion: I would not book anywhere else and will definitely stay here again when back in New York.
