we stayed in a junior suite on the 4th floor. A wall till halfway of the window and and building very closeby made that there was no light in the room. We moved after 3 night to a (smalller) room on the 16th floor. Fine. In the mean time the temperature in NYC was very hihg, it was very hot in the hotel and since there was only central airco. This is not turned on because it was to early in the season.We could cancel the rest of our stay and moved to another hotel. The staff was very friendly.

Cons: Prior to booking the hotel i telephoned them from australia and asked about the location for restaurants and eateries, i was told there were plenty open all hours and of various price points, this i did not find to be true. there was only expensive restaurants open after 7pm. when booking the hotel i asked for a room with a view - the room i was allocated had a window but 6 feet off the floor therefore i was unable to look out of the window. hotel room temperature was too hot and uncomfortable for sleep. i also asked after the first night for a room with a window i could look out of but was told the hotel was booked until after new year and no move was possible - i again asked a night duty reception man about window and room temperature but given no one made any attempt to address these issues with me i found sleep difficult throughout the duration of my stay.
