The Dylan Hotel New York provides a unique hotel experience for those visiting the city. The dim corridors and 107 spacious guest rooms balance a clean, stark design with a few warm touches. Blank pale walls, modern furnishings and marble bathrooms (eight with bathtub or whirlpool) are offset by sapphire taffeta curtains, ultra-suede accents and 11-foot-high ceilings.

All rooms at the Dylan Hotel feature two-line phones, data ports, high-speed Internet, high-end toiletries, Frette sheets, CD players and library, complimentary newspaper, airconditioning, cable TV and an in-house entertainment system. Staff generally pleasant, attached restaurant although expensive was good quality, area around the hotel generally clean as was hotel itself.
Prior to booking the hotel i telephoned them from australia and asked about the location for restaurants and eateries, i was told there were plenty open all hours and of various price points, this i did not find to be true. there was only expensive restaurants open after 7pm. when booking the hotel i asked for a room with a view - the room i was allocated had a window but 6 feet off the floor therefore i was unable to look out of the window. hotel room temperature was too hot and uncomfortable for sleep. i also asked after the first night for a room with a window i could look out of but was told the hotel was booked until after new year and no move was possible - i again asked a night duty reception man about window and room temperature but given no one made any attempt to address these issues with me i found sleep difficult throughout the duration of my stay.

The staff were all very kind! they helped us get around the city, held all of our luggage for us on check-out day, they were above and beyond kind! we were very impressed with how we were treated!!

It was one of the best hotels i ever had, really good service and good location only 2 minute from grand station.
