 "Excellent base"
The room was small, but it was clean, the receptionists were friendly and helpful. The free breakfast and 24hr tea & coffee was great and only a stones throw from times square. It is an excellent base and good value for money. I would definitely reccommend this hotel and go back.

Pros: Of course the location is the best part of this hotel. in the heart of the theater district its a quick walk to dozens of restaurants, theaters and the subway.
Cons: I knew that the room would be small, but it was so small it made us laugh. my husband and i couldn't do anything at the same time. we had to take turns getting ready because there just wasn't any room for two people to stand and move around. luckily this didn't bother us because we really weren't in the room that much. thankfully we only bought one piece of luggage. there never would have been room for a second one. and the noise...we were on the second floor facing the front of the hotel on 47th st. it was so noisy! and there was an air conditioning unit in the window so there was no seal, no way of blocking off the noise. it sounded like the window was always open. sirens around the clock and loud people, my goodness. thank god i brought my earplugs, otherwise i would have never been able to sleep.

Pros: Free coffe. the lady who was in reseption when i check out was very nice.
Cons: My reservation was not recorded at the hotel. the person in the reseption was not too kind but give me a room...
they demand to reserve an extra usd 50 from my credit card incase of "damage or other thing", newer experience that before! not a plesant welcome

Pros: Excellent location (one block away from times square). nice and helpful staff. free wifi in the room and free print facilities in the lobby
Cons: Very noisy room, you can hear all from the street as if the windows were always open, however you cannot hear anything from other rooms (witch was nice). poor breakfast solution but that was also fine cause you have a lot of places near by to take a decent breakfast for decent prices.

Pros: Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Ac unit was a household window unit - meaning that the room was noisy as you could hear everything and anything from the street below thru the thin plastic accordion-like sides of the ac unit. room was small, but was all that i needed. water pressure in the show in the morning was alternated between just about ok to barely there.

Pros: we had such a great time at e.lodge times square, that i already sent my positive comments to some other e. lodge / choice hotels. it did not matter that our room was small - a little cramped , but the shower was strong and always warm enough and the bath tub to relax in ! breakfast always had lots to chose from. so close to times square, subway, and so much to do . we loved it ;everything we needed including duane

Cons: seatng in the foyer was very difficult when the bus loa arrived for several days and wanted to eat there - not enough seating.
