"Thanks to Easytobook.com we were able to be at the hotel"
When I arrived at the hotel, the lady at the front desk told me that she had contacted easytobook.com and had told them they didn't have any rooms available. And that was it. I called easytobook.com and they quickly contacted the local New York person. I could hear the front desk lady talking to a person on the phone (who I figured out was from easytobook.com) and then the front desk person started calling other hotels. She came over and said that they didn't have any rooms and she was making an effort to find us a room but most were empty.By chance - someone was checking out and we were able to get in for 2 of our 3 nights. The front desk person told me they were going to reserve rooms somewhere else for the last night in case they were needed. I asked the next day and they said to check back the next morning. When I checked back the next morning, she called the original lady who said that I should have brought my credit card for her to get me into the other hotel - even though I had checked the day before at the front desk and they said everything was fine. They ended up calling another fairfield and getting a room, but only because that was easy for them. If it would have been hard, I know I would have been completely out of luck.If easytobook.com hadn't called and been so quick about it, I don't know what we would have done. There were some friendly staff at the hotel (like the people who worked in the breakfast area and the bellman), but some of the upper level staff were not very helpful at all.
