If you don't intend to spend your holiday in the hotel room, I can really recommend this hotel. Perfect location to a resonable price.

The location of the hotel is great, and reception staff friendly. The room was small, but OK. For a short stay, you don't need a lot of space. The plumbing in the bathroom is terrible though. Problems with flushing the toilet, shower impossible because temperature changes from freezing cold to burning hot... Daily but only very superficial cleaning in the bathroom.

Pros: Generally, for the price and location of the hotel, we were very pleased.
Cons: The bed in room 905 needs replacing asap! it squeaks anytime you move and is very old and uncomfortable and half of the slats were broken meaning you couldnt sit on the bed without sinking very low! we didnt complain at the time as we were only there for 4 nights and it hardly seemed worth asking to move rooms.

Pros: The hotel was in an excellent location in new york. close to all the the attractions. staff was friendly and rooms were clean.

Pros: Staff were execellent - the room had a fridge and had a comfortable feel to it - enough space to move about for instance.
Cons: No coffee and tea making facilities would be about the only criticism. (most hotels/motels in australia provide these.)

Pros: Best thing was location--it was good too to have a bath as well as shower in bathroom.
Cons: Room was airless and overhot (i was there in mid-october); air conditioning was noisy when you had it on. window overlooked an internal well area--bad. one small lift (i was on 10th floor) was inadequate, especially as domestic staff used it to convey bedlinen etc.

Pros: Room was clean and tidy with all necessary items except tea/coffee making facilities which are standard here in ireland

Pros: Apart from the first older man on reception the others were all very helpful and pleasant. the location is definately the best thing about this hotel, couldn't be better.
Cons: When we arrived the very miserable man at reception couldn't find the booking. took a few worrying minutes. he wasn't pleasant at all. the bedding and mattress were well used and pillows etc need to be replaced

Pros: Two blocks from empire state, 50 metres from subway. clean, comfortable, what you see is what you get. very good value for money.
Cons: Avoid street facing rooms, very noisy at night! take your own pillow.

Pros: The hotel is in a good central location, it is quite basic but good value for money, the staff are really friendly and its very clean.

Pros: Cleaning staff very service minded
Cons: Reception desk staff in the evening was very bad. no smile no welcome - you got the impresion that you were not welcome at all - and all the staffs focus was on a soccer game in the televisoin on the desk.
