"The staff was very friendly"

Pros: The staff was very friendly. check in was easy. the room was clean. the bed was comfortable. i loved being in the times square area.
Cons: I didn't like the view. i know that some rooms will have less than unfavorable views, so i could overlook it. however, i really would have appreciated a nicer one. the room i stayed in was very small. of course it had the basics but it was really tiny. the elevators are also so small. there was a guy in the hall having a conversation on his phone and i could hear his every word even as he got further away from my room.

"We had a great stay at hotel mela"

Pros: We had a great stay at hotel mela. the room was surprisingly big and the bed extremely comfortable. the room was very clean with nice modern decor. the location is also great.

Cons: The room was very small. i thought the superior room would at least have a queen size bed; but i had to share a full size bed with my 6'1" , 237lbs boyfriend. also, we had to request extra towels (since the room was really designed for one person). the bathroom tiles needed to be cleaned (re-grouted) and the toilette started running in the middle of the night. finally, the tv check-out function did not work; so we had to wait in line just to check out.

Pros: The location and staff were perfect. the maid service was fantastic. they went above and beyond our expectations. cant wait to go back. parking access was perfect. the saju bistro was great. very nice experience

"My husband and i love the mela"

Pros: My husband and i love the mela. this is our second time staying there. we have stayed at other hotels in manhattan but the mela is definitely one of our favorites. so when we can get the right price on the rm that's where we would stay!
