Imperial Court Hotel New York  

Happy with the accommodation as I basically just slept there at night and left quite early in the morning.The staff were always accommodating.The price was good.Safe neighborhood.

This hotel has a good location, next to a subway station (line 1 direct to south Manhattan) and central park. It is also next to Museum like the MET. The service is nice and efficient.The room was clean and noiseless. The two persons bed was just a little bit too small. We spend a very nice journey in this hotel.

We were in NY for about 8 days. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The location was perfect. We could reach Times Square very easily and in a short time. The rooms were clean, the service okay. About the sleep quality: the bed was creaky, so when I turned on my left or right sight in the middle of the night, I woke up because of the noise. The last day we ordered a yellow cab. Instead of a yellow cab, we got another (black) taxi. Because we were in a hurry and wouldn't miss our plane, we accepted this, otherwise I'd refused. As I expected on the arrival the driver charged a higher rate. If you plan to go on a visit to New York, be aware of these issues! But... I certainly would recommend this hotel to you!

Cons: Terrible service from staff. insects in the room.

Pros: Adequate with friendly staff
Cons: Small room with only a single bed. also the divide to the next door room is only a door and is not insulated for sound. not great when you neighbour snores.

Pros: Perfect location,the rooms are not so bad.but materials that used in rooms are so old.
Cons: Internet in hotel is payable which is unconvenient for us.

Cons: We had problems in paying and the staffs were not so kind on helping us...

Pros: Price and location were good. some staff were not overly helpful friendly others were good.
Cons: Rudeness of some staff, feeling given by some staff was that i was inconveniencing them.

Cons: Creeky beds, old towles, room unclean on arrival. sink falling off wall, micro size bathroom, typical hotel where owner is to cheap to fix the basics but wants maiximum return equals false economy.

Pros: Very well situated. 2 minutes from nearest subway. the room was small, but we spent so little time there anyway... kitchen corner very convenient for some breakfast or re-heating of "doggy bag" from the night before... convenient safe also in the dressing.
Cons: Unfriendly staff, except one (the youngest guy, very sweet and helful). the 2 others, no comment. they should consider changing job.

We walked into our room - booked for a week to celebrate our first wedding anniversary - and the room was thoroughly disappointing, there was a grubbiness to the room - dirty dust clogged skirting boards, rickety grubby drawers, a smell of cigarette smoke, the air conditioner was faulty and dirty, there was dust and dirt behind the bed, the bathroom and kitchen was only cleaned to a basic standard and there was a dinginess to the room. The water went off in the building while we were there which impacted greatly on our second day in NYC as we had to wait for the plumbing to be repaired before we could shower and leave for the day. The building was noisy, the staff were very unhelpful. Our safe was faulty the day we arrived and was not fixed until the next day. The curtains and comforters on the bed were grubby and the windows were filthy. The level of cleanliness was incredibly worrying considering the issues with bedbugs, but we were very lucky on this occasion. The hotel is located close to the subway and the foyer was pleasant however there really isn't anything else good to say about this massively overpriced venue, the hotel should be demoted to 1 star and is in no way worth the £1000 we payed to stay there last year - the hotel was the only downside to a wonderful, amazingly special anniversary trip to NYC. We would never stay here again or recommend this hotel.
