The 131 guest rooms and 18 suites done up in a minimalist style giving it a Zen-like feeling. Even though New York’s Kitano is in the middle of busy streets and just a furlong away from the Grand Central Station, the deafening noise of the streets is completely cut out by the soundproof windows that each room has. Adding to the mystique of the East, each room at Kitano New York has a Japanese green tea making facility which guests can enjoy while lounging on the fluffy pillows and down comforters provided. Apart from that each room has King/Queen-size beds, a table and two chairs, in-room safes, two dual connection phones with voicemail and data port, hair dryers and a minibar. The bathrooms are made of marble, stocked with Shisiedo Bath Products and toiletries. The Hotel also has an exclusive Japanese Tatami suite with a bathroom having a traditional Japanese wooden bucket and soak tub. Kitano New York also has an authentic Japanese eatery by the name of Hakubai, which serves Kaiseki cuisine from Japan known for its delicacy in taste and appearance.
