Excellent position: very close to Time Square and to subway stop. Fair bedrooms and private bathrooms (with phone). Friendly personnel. Prices of the bedrooms quite high for the hotel category. No free internet.

Stayed at this hotel in January 2013. The hotel is in a great location close to Central Park and Times Square however, I had two rooms during my stay. The first was noisy due to the heating system and the second one (which we were moved to after complaining) was next to a boiler room. All in all neither room was quiet!

Hi,I think that this is a high priced hotel that does not give back quality corresponding to the costs. We stayed 3 nights and as we have been travelling across the US and stayed at quite a few hotels during our 7 weeks vacation I think that the value for money of this hotel is the worst of all hotels we stayed at. It was the most expensive, and the lowest quality.Examples of things that I believe did not meet standards:- A lamp was broken and although we told the reception, it was not exchanged during our stay- We were 4 people, but did only get 2 towel sets. Hence, we had to share towels after showering- No free wifi. This was the only hotel/motel of our entire vacation that did not offer free wifi. We stayed at hotels and motels from Seattle to New York, and all offered wifi free of charge. Wellington did not.- The toilet was so squeezed in that only our 4 year old could sit straight. All other had to sit diagonally on the toilet seat, which is not comfortable.I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting New York. You will get a better value for money if staying at any other hotel - cheaper or more expensive. Regards,/Anders

staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel was ideally situated for Time square,central park etc ,i would stay at this hotel again ,The only snag was the net curtains were filthy and the doors in the room were dirty ,

Good hotel for the price. Good location. Rooms are very small and lifts are very slow. Only problem was with drainage in the bath/shower which was incredibly slow!

The hotel is located just few meters from Central Park, metro and all you can desire in New York, It's perfect for any kind of stay. The only thing I can say is that the Wi-Fi conncetion is by payment, when in all the city there is free wifi for everyone, but for the rest reccomend it.

Great location.I asked for a mini fridge and they sent one up.Gave me a free upgrade to a king bed.Very nice front desk staff.Doormen need training on how to open the doors for guests.No ventilation on elevators.Extremely hot,especially going up to the 12th floor on a slow elevator.It was record high heat that week and the air conditioner had a hard time cooling the room and hallways.Plumbing was loud when neighbors took a shower and our drain in our shower was slow to drain.For the price,I would probably stay there again.I think it would have been better if it wasn't so hot that week.Great location,easy walk to central park,times square,broadway,subway(and subway sandwich)is right outside the door.Good restuarants nearby.No free internet.

Having stayed at this hotel before I already new its location was amazing -10 min walk to Times Square and 5 min walk to Central Park- and that there was a great place for breakfast joined to the hotel. The hotel however was even nicer this time than last- basic but nice...clean and tidy with good air conditioning and facilities. The reception, lobby, door and cleaning staff were all excellent and very grateful for any tips! My only slight negative was that our double bed wasn't very big but that's probably because as we have a king sized at home! Would definitely recommend.

My impression when we arrived in the Hotel was that the front desk personel was unfriendly and not very helpful. The room was very dark and the price was too high for this .

I stayed in this hotel 29 years ago and was impressed with the refurbishings and updating. The hotel is pleasant, very reasonable, and pleasant to 'hang around', right in the center of Manhattan life. It was a joy to return.

The best hotel of my life. I would improve explanations about the use of the shower: it was difficult to understand how to open it and also the water stream was very strong, too strong, sometimes also dangerous for people not used to such a kind of device.

Second time here in a short period.Location coud not be better. Good help to get a fixed price transport to the airport.Sound isolation is unfortnunately poor which forced me to use ear plugs to get the sleep.Not a high end hotel but I just wanted a clean room with a good bed in a good location, so this was perfect for me.Last time I was there with my wife and 2 children and got a "family" room, formed as a mini suite with 2 separate bedrooms - Thanks for that!

Pros: Location was perfect. spacious room. we travelled with two children 10 and 12 and was given a junior suite with two rooms instead of one with a extra bed/ sofa. thanks!
Cons: The sound isolation from the street was not so good, being used to total quietness at home by night. also there was a stove, micro but no plates or silver ware to use.

Pros: The hotel was close to everything!
Cons: Our romm could have been updated alittle, wallpaper peeling in spots. we were also unablt to use the air conditioning because they turn it off in the winter. room was small and stuffy, needed some air. hair dryer didn't work, lamp didn't work either and sometimes the toilet ran.
