New York city is made up of five boroughs; Manhattan (which is what most visitors think of when they think of New York) Staten Island, Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx. As a neighborhood, the Bronx is full of diversity. This borough is where salsa dancing and break dancing were born and it was once the home of Edgar Allan Poe and Mark Twain. Once thought of as a “bad side of town”, the Bronx has undergone millions of dollars worth of revitalization, and is now noted as one of the US All-American cities. It offers many landmarks and historic sites to visit, including Yankee stadium, museums and numerous parks.

This zoo is home to more than 4000 animals and an acre wide rainforest. The New York Botanical Garden is in the Bronx as well, which boasts an incredible orchid display and children's adventure garden.
