The Hogar Collection is an artist run gallery in Brooklyn, New York. It was established in 2003 by artists Todd Rosenbaum and Cecilia Biagini who wanted to give other artists a chance to enter the New York art world and show their work. The focus of the collection is on American and international emerging and mid-career artists who do all types of contemporary art like painting, sculpting, photography, drawing, sound, video, and installation.
Past exhibitions have included titles like: The Unseen Seen, Crossed Circuits, Freefall, Encounters. Microcosms Artists who would like their work displayed are asked to mail a portfolio on a compact disc or as slides or as digital prints to the gallery. Hogar Collection hosts many cultural events like music and sound performances, video or film screenings, and performance art. The gallery is open Thursday to Monday from noon until 7 p.m. by appointment only.
