Prospect Park is a 585-acre area in New York City's most populous borough in the heart of Brooklyn. It was landscaped and designed by the same landscape architects, Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, who designed Central Park. More than seven million people visit the park every year. The park has a 90-acre stretch of unbroken meadow called Long Meadow. Many summer concerts by the New York Philharmonic Orchestra are presented in the meadow every year. Prospect Park is also home to the only forest in Brooklyn. Inside the forest is the Ravine, a steep narrow gorge with flowing water. Visitors can enjoy hiking tours through the forest. Visitors can also enjoy fishing and pedal boating in Prospect Park's 60-acre lake. Electric boat tours are also available. It is also home to Audubon Center, an interactive exhibit that allows guests to learn more about the Park. Audubon Center has an information center, a gift shop, and a café. The park also features the Prospect Zoo.

The zoo has 400 animals from 80 species. It also has plenty of kid-friendly exhibits like “World of Animal,” where children can see prairie dogs and wallabies up close.
