Be certain to visit the Alamo while you’re here. It was originally the Mission San Antonio del Valero and was a significant historical sight in the battle for Texas’ independence from Mexico. Be sure to take your kids to San Antonio Sea World, too for the world’s largest marine life park. There’s also a water park and rides park at Sea World, too. The San Antonio Zoo and Six Flags Fiesta Texas are also great attractions if you’re traveling with children. For some culture, you can’t beat the McNay Art Museum, which boasts an impressive art collection from the 19th and 20th century Europe and America. And, it’s all housed in a beautiful Spanish-Mediterranean style mansion.
