 "Average hotel, average service"
My husband and I spent 5 days in this hotel at the end of August. Here's a summary of what i think of this place:1. Hotel itself: average, nothing out of the ordinary2. Rooms: Dated!! Tiles floors, crappy AC unit in the wall that makes the room very cold but somehow it does not reduce the humidity in the room at all. It makes everything feel cold and damp... ewwww!3. Hotel grounds: above average4. Pool: good size, could be cleaner5. Restaurant on site: we went there the week of when school started so there were hardly anybody in the hotel. Therefore the restaurant was totally empty, except for breakfast. We had one dinner there, but it wasn't anything great. Just ok.6. Service/staff: they are nice in general but when you have an issue with something they don't do anything. For example: after we checked-in the told us that the coming Tuesday they will have no power for 6 hours between 8am and 2 pm. Since we had our cat with us that was not great news to hear. Especially because they had known about this for one month prior and the never said anything to us about it. Even when i called two days before our vacation start date. So then we asked what could be arranged for the cat for those 6 hours. Obviously we cannot take him with us on a leash etc. There was this guy who was some kind of property manager and he said he would talk to the manager and let us know. Every day we asked him twice if they had a solution yet but the answer was no. So on the day of the power outage we weren't able to go anywhere but stay close to the hotel to monitor the room temperature with the cat in it. Kept going upstairs every couple of hours. Thankfully the room stayed okay but no thanks to the management! They are supposed to be a pet-friendly hotel.... i don't think so. On another occasion I asked one of the staff members to talk to another guest to stop going into the pool with his socks and sneakers on and then wash them in the pool. It was absolutely disgusting! The staff member said something to me that i did not really understand then left. I thought he was going to get somebody (the manager maybe) but he never returned. 7. Beach access: the hotel is right on the beachI wish i chose the newly built Hilton Garden Inn instead! Hope this helps!Anna

When they tell you ocean view. You expect to sit on the baloncy and have a full ocean view. Its set up that your on the side of the building with a small view. Its not that the view was real bad but it would of been nice to tell you before you book and maybe show you the view.
