Westerners will get a kick out of the Saigon Wonderland amusement park in Ho Chi Minh City. The theme is decidedly American and European, allowing western visitors to get a surreal look at their own culture, twice removed and turned into a theme park. The park is popular amongst Vietnamese teenagers in Ho Chi Minh City, thanks to the thrill rides such as the twenty stories tall Wonder Wheel and the ‘Loop the Loop’. One of the most famous amusement parks in Vietnam, Saigon Wonderland opened to an eager public in 1999 on the thirtieth of April, with a grand opening ceremony which still provides the park’s frequent visitors with fond memories.

The crowd tends to be biggest on weekends and holidays. For some thrill seekers, this is great, but if you’re looking for shorter lines and less hustle and bustle, you’d be advised to visit the park on a weekday
