If you’re looking for park with an almost surreal sense of humor, you may want to visit the Dam Sen Park in Ho Chi Minh City. Full of green foliage, the park is a pleasant refuge from the gray brick and neon signs of big city life. Weird sights at this park include huge animal statues built from coconut shells and CDs, of all things, sitting in Nam Tu Royal Garden (one of many gardens within the park). You’ll also find various pagodas and a roller coaster.
This park is very popular with children. Besides the obvious reasons of the roller coaster and animal statues, there is also a puppet show put on here, so kids will find a lot to enjoy. There are also restaurants right in the park serving not only local items, but world cuisine, in case you get a little homesick. Amongst the most popular of these restaurants is the Thuy Ta, a floating restaurant.
